The Hebrew Institute of Riverdale offers many different soc
ial action programs for community members to get involved in:

BLOOD DRIVES
Throughout the year, community blood drives are held
in different synagogues. For more info, please call

BIKUR CHOLIM
The Hebrew Institute of Riverdale offers a Bikur Cholim
program to help the elderly, ill or homebound with
rides to doctors appointments and nursing homes,
shopping and friendly visits. We also visit the
hospitals before each Jewish holiday.If you know
of someone who needs this service or if you would
like to volunteer, please call Rabbi Etan Mintz.

There is also a country-wide Bikur Cholim hotline
which can be reached at 601-3350.

CLOTHING DRIVES/BOOK DRIVES/TOY DRIVES
Throughout the year we participate in different drives.
Please call the synagogue office for more information.
