Mayor Michael Bloomberg has appointed Omar Mohammadi
to the Human Rights Commission of the City of New York.

       In today's world, we must do everything to ocunteract the evils of
       radical Islam. we can not waver before its unflinching radical efforts.
       Unfortunately, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has made a terrible step
       in the opposite direction.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has appointed Omar Mohammadi to the Human Rights Commission of the City of New York. Mr. Mohammadi is official Counsel to CAIR an an organization that is closely affiliated with and supportive of Hamas. It is a terrible message to appoint such a person to a commission that is authorized to protect the rights of minorities in New York. Mr. Mohammadi is specifically apppointed to represent his community. Which community is that? If it is the radical Islam community that supports terrorism, then that community does not deserve representation.

CJC-Amcha has written the Mayor and expressed its disapproval. we have received no response. The time has now come for other actions. We ask you to write your councilmember and ask thme to call for a resolution investigating the Human Rights Commission. What is their role? Are they effective? What powers will this Mohamaddi have? Why in a time of budget crunch are our tax dollars supporting this Commission? Is this City Commission doing anything different than the already existing State commission? We want to know answers to these serious questions.

The following copuncilmembers have expressed support for this investigation: Simchah Felder, Joel Rivera, David Weperin, James Davis. Call them to thank them. If your councilmember is not on this list, ask them why they don't support such an investigation?
