Sharona Margolin Halickman
A passionate and inspiring teacher of Torah, gifted with a deep
spirituality, Sharona Margolin Halickman was graduated in 1995 from Stern
College for Women, Yeshiva University with a degree in Judaic Studies, Magna
Cum Laude where she received the award for excellence in Modern Hebrew
Literature. She went on to study at Yeshiva University's Azrieli Graduate
School of Jewish Education and Administration as a Block Fellow earning a
Master's in Jewish Education in 1998. Prior to entering Stern College,
Sharona studied for a year and a half in Jerusalem at Machon Gold College
for Women, where she was awarded a Hebrew Teachers Diploma from the Israel
Ministry of Education.
Sharona was a Torat Miriam Fellow and the first Congregational Intern at
The Hebrew Institute of Riverdale in 1997. She then became the Hebrew
Institute's Director of Educational Programming, a position she has held for
the past two years. In this capacity, she has developed curricula and taught
students of all ages and
backgrounds.
Sharona also served as the Religious Activities Coordinator at the Hebrew
Home
For the Aged at Riverdale, and pursued studies in Clinical Pastoral
Education at the Health Care Chaplaincy's Jewish Institute for Pastoral
Care. She has been a
visiting lecturer in Jewish communities across North America.
Sharona lives in Riverdale with her husband
Josh and son Dov.
